Eastern White Cedar provides homes for creatures big and small. White-tailed deer enjoy snacking on their twigs in the winter. This slow growing tree only reaches 15 metres tall, and likes to live in swampy areas of Ontario.

Sugar Maple is great at absorbing harmful pollutants. It’s easy to spot in the fall, when its leaves turn bright yellow, red or orange. This large tree can live for more than 200 years!

Bur Oak can suck up water with its expansive roots. This tree can grow up to 30 metres tall, and is the most common oak in Ontario.
